Bob Kilmister has been the County Councillor for Dinas Cross Ward on Pembrokeshire County Council since 2008.
In opposition, from 2008 to 2017 he sought to bring about substantive changes to the governance arrangements on the Council.
Since 2017 Council Bob has been Cabinet Member for Finance. He has made substantial changes to the way the budget is organised and delivered, despite the administration not having a majority.
Bob is passionate about being open and transparent and making everyone aware of the hard choices that are necessary to deliver local government services. Making evidence based decisions for the right reasons is his mantra.
Bob has been married to Nikki for forty four years and they have one grown up son.
They live on a former smallholding close to Llanychaer, Cwm Gwaun. He and Nikki are passionate gardeners, and for years have spent most of their spare time creating several distinct gardens areas.
Bob was born in Cheltenham but his mother and grandparents were Welsh speakers from Criccieth.
Bob left school after taking his A levels and joined J Sainsbury Plc who he worked for for thirty years, twelve of which were as a store manager, but also in their distribution division.
